PAS-3 Assessor Certification is valid for five years and may be renewed through a recertification process. Recertification is also valid for a five-year period. The recertification process is described below: you may choose option 1 OR option 2. If you have any questions, please contact pas.bas@nl.edu.
Option 1: Attend 4 Days of Reliability Training
- Register for Recertification Option 1 to attend PAS Reliability Training (first 4 days only)
- Successfully pass an Assessment for Learning at the end of day 4
- Assessment for Learning is reviewed by the National Anchors , and notice of recertification status is sent to the assessor

Option 2: Submit Two Assessments

- Conduct one PAS-3 assessment
- Submit the assessment along with all required certification documents
- Assessments are reviewed by National anchors, and notice of recertification decisions is sent to the assessor

The initial certification is good for five years and can be renewed once by following the procedures above. 10 years after your origin date of reliability training, the certification cycle begins again. At that point, you must attend the full reliability training, pass reliability, and complete the certification process again.
