PAS-3 Assessor Recertification

PAS-3 Assessor Certification is valid for five years and may be renewed through a recertification process. Recertification is also valid for a five-year period. The recertification process is described below. If you have any questions, please contact pas.bas@nl.edu.

PAS-3 Assessor Recertification
5 years after initial certification | cost: $300
Prior to the expiration of your certification status, you must register for and complete one of the two certification options below.
Option 1: Attend 4 Days of Reliability Training
- Register for Recertification Option 1 to attend PAS Reliability Training (first 4 days only)
- Successfully pass an Assessment for Learning at the end of day 4
- Assessment for Learning is reviewed by the National Anchors , and notice of recertification status is sent to the assessor

Option 2: Submit Two Assessments
- Register for Recertification Option 2: Submit Assessments
- Conduct two PAS-3 assessments
- Submit both assessments along with all required certification documents
- Assessments are reviewed by National anchors, and notice of recertification decisions is sent to the assessor

The initial certification is good for five years and can be renewed once by following the procedures above. 10 years after your origin date of reliability training, the certification cycle begins again. At that point, you must attend the full reliability training, pass reliability, and complete the certification process again.
