Camila Patiño is the Professional Learning Training Specialist, Family Child Care at the McCormick Institute for Early Childhood at National Louis University. In this role, she co-leads family child care leadership academies and supports professional learning experiences that strengthen business practices, instructional quality, and leadership development across family child care communities.


Camila is a bilingual education professional with more than 10 years of experience who is passionate about empowering educators and strengthening early childhood programs through culturally responsive and language-inclusive practices.


Prior to the McCormick Institute, Camila served as a Lead Teacher at Montessori Children’s Community in Brookfield, where she led a bilingual toddler classroom and partnered closely with families to support children’s growth and development. Prior to that, she taught at La Escuelita Arco Iris in Pittsburgh, where she helped design and implement a Spanish immersion program rooted in Reggio Emilia principles. Throughout her work, she has collaborated closely with teachers, assistants, and families to create developmentally appropriate learning environments that honor children’s identities and promote strong social-emotional and academic foundations.



Camila completed her Infant-Toddler Montessori certification through Seton Montessori Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts from La Roche College.
